Can’t stop worrying as long as you depend on others

白山4

I’m also a human being, so many problems happen in the course of my life. But I always think about them in terms of how happy I am just to be alive. So I hardly ever lose my temper. I can be patient with problems. And if anyone is involved in a problem, I can also have the other person’s point of view.

  • human being 人間
  • in the course of one’s life 人生の過程で
  • in terms of A Aの観点から
  • be involved in A Aに関わっている
  • point of view 視点

There is sometimes a man who quits his job without thinking well because of his pride or a feeling of anger. But if the man had had the viewpoint that he should be thankful for being alive, he would have made a different choice. This thankful viewpoint toward the fundamental truth makes people patient naturally.

  • quit 辞める
  • because of A  Aのために
  • make a choice 選択を行う

If I had to choose anything important, I would think of every possible bad situations which could happen as a result of my decision. And convinced of those bad situations, I would make my own choice thankfully. I’ll never depend on gods or some supernatural power in making my choice. If you make a decision depending on someone or something else, you’ll regret the decision without fail.

  • as a result of A Aの結果として
  • depend on A Aに頼る
  • without fail 必ず

In life, as long as you live, various kinds of problems happen to you so that your soul can grow up. It would be the best to get over them lightheartedly.

  • as long as S+V  SがVする限り
  • various kinds of A 様々な種類のA
  • so that S+V SがVするように
  • get over A Aを乗り越える
  • lightheartedly 明るく

For example, if you make a wish and pray to gods in the line of Susanoo(スサノオ), hoping that your wish comes true, you get happy or you receive some protection from them, the gods tend to give you a severe trial agaist your will, for they think the trial will do you good in the long run.

  • make a wish 願をかける
  • pray 祈る
  • in the line of A A系の
  • against one’s will 意思に反して
  • do A good Aのためになる
  • in the long run

To the eye of eternal gods, human life looks a moment. The true god, wondering what you’re trying to escape from in such a short life , would make you go in the direction which makes your soul bigger. This is the true love of gods, and mercy. In this sense, if you should gain some immediate happiness depending on supernatural beings, it is possible that they are not true gods.

  • to the eye of A Aの目には
  • in this sense この意味では
  • immediate 目先の

It is our ancestors who can protect us for nothing and unconditionally. Parents take good care of their children in many ways even if they don’t ask for anything, which is a human instinct and fate.

  • ancestor 先祖
  • for nothing 無償で
  • take good care of A Aを十分世話する
  • even if S+V たとえSがVするとしても
  • instinct 本能
  • fate 宿命

Our ancestors are to us what parents are to children. All you have to do is devote gratitude to your ancestors. You don’t have to make a request for them over and over. In case you stand at the crossroads of life, you’ll be able to make your own right decision spontaneously, led by your ancestors always watching over you. “Spontaneously” has a deep meaning.

  • A is to B what C is to D AのBに対する関係はCのDに対する関係と等しい
  • All you have to do is~ あなたは〜しさえすればよい
  • make a request 頼み事をする
  • over and over 何度も何度も
  • watch over A Aを見守る
  • meaning 意味

I Ka Shi Te I Ta Da I Te  A Ri Ga To U Go Za I Ma Su

Thank you so much for keeping us alive.
