a law of spiritual worlds

The smoke of incense sticks we offer to the spirits of our ancestors reaches them in another world and changes into what they want the most.

  • incense stick 線香
  • offer 捧げる
  • spirit 霊
  • ancestor 先祖
  • reach 達する
  • change into A Aに変わる

The energy wave of gratitude living offsprings give off, riding on the smoke, reaches spirits who have to do with them through a dimensional wall. And those spirits realize what they have regretted in this world or some attachment one by one by receiving the smoke. As their desires and attachment are gradually dissolved, they need not to receive the smoke any more, and the smoke is passed on to the next ancestor waiting for it whose attachment still remains. Ancestors relating a certain family line who have already been relieved take the command.

  • give off A Aを放つ
  • ride on A Aに乗る
  • have to do with A Aに関係する
  • one by one 一つ一つ
  • desire 欲望
  • attachment 執着
  • gradually 徐々に
  • dissolve 薄める
  • not…any more もう〜ない
  • pass on A to B AをBに回す
  • take the command 采配する

Even if we die, our state of mind never improve nor change. We stay at the same level. We, living now, have too many attachment what with one thing and another. As long as we live, we can eat if we want by making efforts, for example. But once we die, we become passive. The level or contents of the passive state is decided strictly and automatically, like gravitation, by his/her deeds in the previous life.

  • even if S+V たとえSがVするとしても
  • state 状態
  • what with one thing and another あれやこれやと
  • as long as S+V SがVする限り

Some people die alone. Such person, who cannot be given any memorial service by his/her offsprings, should hold memorial services for his/her ancestors while alive. It is possible for you to receive the benefits of memorial services you held when you were alive after you died. Thanks to the benefit, your attachment is cleared and you can rest in peace. A memorial service is also for your own sake.

  • thanks to A Aのお陰で
  • rest in peace 成仏する
  • for one’s own sake 〜自身のために

You might think a concept of time to be strange when you hear that after you died you can receive the benefit of the memorial service you held when you were alive. But such is the case in a different dimensional world. No matter how hard you are in a deep study or meditate, there is nothing like a concrete practice of holding a memorial service with three incense sticks and gratitude.

  • the case 実情
  • no matter how~ どれくらい〜でも
  • be in a deep study
  • there is nothing like A Aのような素晴らしいものはない
