Karma between a parent and a child is never broken as long as they live, no matter how bad their relationship is. Even if they live separately, it never changes. Even if one forgets about the other, the relationship never disappears as long as they live.

  • parent 親
  • as long as S+V SがVする限り
  • even if S+V たとえSがVするとしても
  • relationship 関係

If your parents had not existed, you wouldn’t be here. The same thing is true of the relationship between our ancestors and us. Since you have borrowed your physical body from your family line at present, the souls of your ancestors and you are connected to each other through a spiritual line. When they are emitting restless waves, you’ll become mentally unstable as well.

  • exsist 存在
  • be true of A Aに当てはまる
  • ancestor 先祖
  • since S+V SはVするので
  • borrow 借りる
  • at present 現在は
  • be connected to A Aと繋がっている
  • each other お互い

Once we were born, we experience various kinds of negative events in life, such as illness, parting, accident, unemployment, etc. The circumstances where you were born was strongly influenced by certain relations and karma of your previous lives. But, after you were born, your efforts are projected and reflected on the World of Reality. It can be said roughly that factors affecting your life are composed of something you can change by making efforts(60%) and the karma of your previous lives and the fate you decided on before you were born(40%).

  • various kinds of A 様々な種類のA
  • such as A 例えばAのような
  • be composed of A Aから構成されいる
  • fate 運命

It is important that you make efforts in life, and the efforts affect your life greatly, needless to say. The problem is, when your state of mind is weak, you’ll have difficulty making efforts, however hard you may try.

  • state 状態

Here is an important point of your need to hold a memorial service for your ancestors. If you can comfort and relieve your ancestral spirits, your mind will also become stable. Then when your mind is stable, no matter what problems happen to you, you can assume a calm and composed attitude and get courage and make efforts, believing “Things are gonna be alright !”,”I can get over it !”

  • hold a memorial service
  • calm and composed 動じない
  • Things are gonna be alright.
  • get over A Aを乗り越える

The consequences of your efforts will be sometimes a success and sometimes a failure depending on the time and situation. However, the consequence itself  is not important in life, for we humans are finite beings and doomed to die sooner or later.

  • consequence 結果
  • success 成功
  • failure 失敗
  • depending on A Aによって
  • being 存在
  • be doomed to die

There is no point in being caught up in each consequence in the middle of a journey of life. All and everything changes. It is whether you did your best to the best of your ability with your heart on fire that matters. It has nothing to do with others’ judgements. It’s a fight against yourself.

  • There is no point in ~ing 〜
  • be caught up in A Aに囚われる
  • in the middle of A Aの途中で
  • journey 旅
  • do one’s best
  • to the best of one’s ability
  • on fire 燃えて

If you don’t do your best in everything you do, even if you have gone through your life, it is difficult for you to rest in peace after you die. That’s why Buddha said in a scripture “Man must not get an easy job.”

  • go through A Aを終える
  • That’s why S+V そういうわけでSはVする
  • Buddha

Because human beings are idle in nature, they cannot do their best in easy circumstances, which make you detour greatly in terms of the development of your soul. If you think you’re in easy circumstances at present, it is important that you be thankful for your present situations, thinking “This is a gift from my ancestors.” If you are so, you’ll get an inspiration to set your soul on fire.

  • in terms of A Aの観点から
  • set A on fire Aに火をつける

You must not think that if you hold the memorial service, you can save some efforts, or you can escape from ordinary problems in your daily life. Life is short, only 80 years. If you can appreciate a lot of hardships with gratitude and positively, you are the soul winner.

The words which make you experience your life positively and your soul develop the most are:

I Ka Shi Te I Ta Da I Te  A Ri Ga To U Go Za I Ma Su

Thank you so much for keeping us alive.
