a memory of my youth – Part 1

When someone meets another for the first time, it can happen that the spiritual beings behind them
meet each other beforehand. The following is what I experienced when I was a college student. Browsing a book at the corner of spiritual books in a bookstore, a guru’s book caught my eyes, who was the leader of his religious group of about 3000 believers and asserted in his book that he performed a secret ceremony of old Shinto. The guru had been on my mind somehow since I came back home.

In those days, I had a medium-sized motorcycle and often rode the bike to Ise (伊勢), Kumano (熊野)and Mt. Koya(高野山)wherever my inspiration led me. The days were at the bubble economy of Showa era and the World of the Dead was at its best.

I was under the direct influence of 113 Kenzokushins(眷属神), an ancillary deity, in the line of Susanoo(スサノオ)at that time. Since each Kenzokushin has its own world and makes its subordinates belonging to the World of the Dead do what it wants them to, I was connected to a huge number of spiritual beings, including the lowest-level spirits. When I visited some famous sacred places, I would often find professional psychics there. I was often looked at with a fixed gaze by the “gurus” who were bringing their own disciples along with them.

Leading such a life at that time, I was getting more and more concerned about the guru I knew of at the bookstore. One day, one of my Kenzokushins transmitted a message to me saying “Go and meet him now that a route had been made.” But I didn’t know where he lived. All I knew about him from his book was he lived in an apartment house in so and so Ward of Osaka(大阪). I didn’t know his contact address because he no longer accepted a new member of his group. One ward of Osaka has a larger population than a provincial city. There are numerous number of apartment houses there.

But the spiritual being saying ” Just go. No problem,”  I left for Osaka on my bike. I arrived at the ward of Osaka with a map in my hand and went around slowly wherever I wished, when an apartment house building came into sight which caught my attention.

”There!” Parking my bike I went into the apartment house building. Not knowing his name, I started to go up from the ground floor in turn walking the aisle of each floor from one end to the other. Then I found a door of an apartment was opened. Curious, I went to the front of the room … To be continued.
