Praise yourself when you suffer.

When I see those who are troubled in society these days, I feel the damaged or weakened spiritual body of their own causes their troubles rather than a spiritual curse of other beings. Most of the causes of weakening their spiritual bodies are themselves.

  • these days 最近
  • rather than A Aよりもむしろ
  • spiritual curse 霊障
  • being 存在

When people have had some hateful experiences, they are apt to try to forget them or blame themselves. Even if they succeed in getting rid of them from their superficial consciousness, the thought energy still remains etched into space when they were in anguish.

  • hateful 嫌な
  • experience 経験
  • be apt to~ 〜しがちである
  • get rid of A Aをなくす

I think the cause of senile dementia is also that too much loneliness, worries, or anxieties activate a body function to protect a physical body and cause brain cells to begin to kill themselves so that the patient won’t think any more.

  • cause A to~ Aが〜する原因となる
  • so that S+V SがVするように
  • not…any more もう〜ない

Troubles, pains and worries never end as long as we live. After getting over a problem, another will happen like a whack-a-mole game. Then after solving the problem, the first one might come back again. But this is what a life should be. Life lets us train ourselves very much, doesn’t it? If you escape from the problem now, it will only get bigger and bigger.

  • as long as S+V SがVする限り
  • what A should be Aのあるべき姿
  • let A ~ Aに〜させる

Then, what should we do? Do not take your eyes off your problems and do the best you can so that you won’t regret it later. And when you are in anguish, praise yourself. It is also good to encourage yourself. If you had a hard time in the past, please dare to remember the time when you have time and praise yourself of that time. By doing this, the gap between your physical body and spiritual body is corrected and your mind will be stronger gradually.

  • take eyes off  A Aから目を離す

As you hold more memorial services for your ancestors with gratitude, the number of relieved ancestral spirits increases. The wave motions of relief your ancestors give off come down to you all the time through the spiritual line of your family genealogy. Then you will be able to cope with problems with sangfroid somehow no matter what happens. You can solve any problem cool and steady without suffering .

  • give off 出す
  • family genealogy 家系
  • cope with A Aに対処する
  • no matter what happens
  • cool and steady 淡々と

If you were unable to bring yourself to have this kind of state of mind and you are suffering now, please say in your heart “Thank you so much for keeping YOUR NAME alive” after offering three incense sticks during a memorial service. This is spiritually effective in fact.

  • be unable to~ 〜することができない
  • state 状態
