In a memorial service, a family line is more important than blood relationship.

白山1

In holding a memorial service for ancestors, some people care about their blood relationship, but the truth is it is not important. What’s important is a family line.

  • the truth is 実は
  • family line 家系

There is a spiritual current, or a spiritual domicile, of ancestral spirits related to a certain family name. A memorial service is held to heal ancestral spirits who have not rested in peace yet in the spiritual current. The souls of ancestral spirits who have already rested in peace might be going on a new journey of their soul using a different family line in a different country after leaving the family line.

  • rest in peace 成仏する
  • journey 旅

Usually your race and gender were both different in the previous life from those of the present. Before you were born, you chose a family line to come into being considering the amount of task you would have to go through and accomplish.

When you are born into the family line, you are usually born a child of a family related to the family line, but some souls have a plan in advance to be adopted by a different family of a different family line from the family he was born into. Woman who get married tend to have a strong connection by fate with the spiritual line of the family of her husband she is going to marry.

  • in advance 予め
  • adopt A Aを養子にする

Human beings experience their lives in this world with “the genes of their physical body”and “the spiritual current of their ancestral spirits” of their family line projected on their physical body and spiritual body. In the case of adoption or a married woman, their physical genes and spiritual domicile change into those of a new family line in the middle of their life.

  • gene 遺伝子
  • in the middle 途中で

The physical genes are not important, spiritually speaking. Because a man marries a woman of a different family line and has children, the blood relation gets thinner and thinner as marriage is repeated. On the other hand, the spiritual domicile is where a lot of souls impress and accumulate their various thought and experiences using a certain family line and experiencing their lives. The spiritual domicile gets thicker and thicker as opposed to the blood relation.

  • on the other hand 一方
  • as opposed to A Aと対照的に

For example, there was a family line which enjoyed a special benefit because of praying to a certain spiritual being. The members of the family line succeeded in business but all of them had trouble with their left eye. If it had been because of a gene defect, the brides coming from a different family line would not have had such a trouble. But they did have trouble with their left eye, too.

  • being 存在
  • have trouble with A Aを患う
  • defect 欠陥
  • bride 嫁

This was due to the interference by the spiritual being with the spiritual domicile of the family line, which means that the domicile of a family line has more powerful influence on a living human being in this world than the blood relationship.

  • be due to A Aが原因である

One of the reasons why a family line dies out is that the spiritual line of a family is so short because of the lack of memorial services that souls who try to learn many lessons using a family line cannot come. Or there are a lot of cases where souls who match with a family line cannot come because of too much bad karma accumulated in the family line. There is also a rare case where the spiritual line of a family line is too purified for souls to come to learn many lessons.

  • reason 理由
  • die out 絶える
  • so~that…
  • the lack of A Aがないこと
  • accumulation 蓄積
  • karma 因縁
  • too…to~ とても…

As for the history of a surname system, the name of a house, which stood for a family name before the system started, had been succeeded in an unbroken line in Japan and when the system started, some Chinese character related to the name of a house was adopted as part of a surname. So the spiritual domicile as a spiritual mark has been connected to the present surname.

  • as for A Aに関していえば
  • stand for A Aを表す
  • in an unbroken line 連綿と
  • connect A  Aをつなぐ
