The Reason why People cannot Become Buddha

森羅万象第6巻 表紙

Everything you take for granted is a manifestation of the Original Being. To be honest is to be original (=God). When you’re honest, you may be close to God. When you can’t be honest, clinging to things, you can be said to be away from God. If you make a decision when you cannot be honest, the consequence is likely to be what you will regret.

Holding a memorial service for your ancestors is an act of your going back to basics mentally and physically. It can purify the spiritual line of your family line with the use of the energy of gratitude. Memorial services for your ancestors, held in the right way, are also the secret ritual that you can do practically and concretely to go back to basics. When you touch your soul, everything around you will regenerate.

If you suffer from diseases or a mental problem caused by spirits, you can improve the symptoms by holding thankful memorial services for your ancestors. Problems caused by spirits , however, are few in number. As I have been observing people’s troubles for more than twenty years, such cases are only about 20 percent of the whole cases.

If you have a problem caused by a spirit, you can improve your situation quickly by holding a memorial service for your ancestral spirits just like a devil leaves you. But if your problems are caused by your life habit or mental attitude, it takes time to improve your situation. Before you hurry to visit a shrine, you have to amend your way of living though you may not know what to amend first. Anyway, it’s important for you to reconsider your life style before visiting a shrine.

By the way, there is one thing Kukai(空海) has been regretting. What he wanted us to know the most was that all human beings can be Buddha as they are right here, right now. I feel that he showed us ways to remember that human beings are already Buddha, that is, human beings are precious, vigorous beings shining like gold.

  • precious 貴重な
  • vigorous 活力に富む
  • shine 輝く

But in the course of more than a thousand years, weird rituals, secret magics or what people thought to be profitable among his teachings came to be exaggerated and propagated because they were easy to accept for people in general. I feel that only minor methods to become Buddha have been emphasized and academized, which is far away from his true intention.

  • exaggerate 誇張する

I feel as if  Kukai were saying that even if you practice the current Buddhism, you cannot be Buddha however hard you try.  Not the true purpose of Buddhism but magic words or arts alone have been studied and his teachings aimed for the perfection of character are forgotten. It is not until your spiritual happiness expands that various methods function in such a way that you can be Buddha.

Only a part of what I’ve mentioned above is written in Himitsu-mandara-juju-shin-ron (秘密曼荼羅十住心論)and Sokushin-joubutsu-gi (即身成仏義) by Kukai. Because his arcane teachings were conveyed to his direct disciplines orally, they are gone.

Gossips or secret stories are more likely to attract attention of people and spread quickly among people than good stories useful for learning or work, which may be a mean disposition of human beings. Religions will change in the course of time because the founder’s true intention will be forgotten and his conspicuous teachings alone are emphasized and remain.

Genuine Healers Heal People for Free Without Being Noticed

森羅万象第6巻 表紙

With the recent fad of spiritualistic TV programs in Japan, a lot of people are visiting spiritual healers or attending sessions held by psychics without much thought. Some people want to be a healer themselves and spend a lot of money on a professional course to become a healer, which, spiritually speaking, is a very dangerous act.

  • fad 流行り
  • session セッション
  • dangerous 危険な

They are committing a sin through ignorance. They will end up shortening their life time as well as that of others. Those who believe healing to be great and good couldn’t understand this. Even if they are in doubt at the bottom of their heart, they will not face up to the reality. Since an evil spirit behind a healer consumes their life energy, it can be said that both the healer and his/her client are blindfolded by the evil spirit.

If such people come across this blog for some reason, they won’t even try to read it. They are sure to criticize it. There will be two types of people here: people who can’t realize that they’re doing the wrong thing and people who can realize that what they’re doing is a mistake. The difference is due to that of the protective power of their ancestral spirits.

  • be sure to~   きっと〜するだろう

・Those who can’t be convinced of the spiritual truth unless they experience pain.

・Those who can understand it intellectually and avoid dangers without experiencing pain.

This difference is huge. It is thank to the guidance of ancestral spirits that the latter can avoid dangers. Holding memorial services is very important for your own sake, too.

Most of the people who earn a living by giving healing sessions or showing spiritual magic are thinking at heart “I know what I’m doing is wrong. But I can’t go back. I need money. I just can’t stop it.” They are making money by having their clients expect for something good in the name of a higher spiritual being such as God, Buddha or an angel. Only those who can deceive their conscience on the basis of various dubious excuses can do this kind of job.

  • earn a living 生計を立てる
  • expect for A Aを期待する
  • deceive 騙す
  • conscience 両親
  • dubious 疑わしい

All human beings are to get old, fall ill and die. Spiritual healers make money by having their clients expect for what is contradictory to this universal truth. They, in short, are denying the truth(=God) and are against it. What is the spiritual beings supporting this wrong act? The righteous God is the spiritual being who give birth to creatures and raise them. The opposite spiritual beings must be the ones who make living things weak and try to destroy them.

  • contradictory 反した
  • deny 否定する
  • righteous 正しい
  • weak 弱い

Well, what is the consequence of your receiving spiritual healing? It’s easy to say – the shortening of your life span in exchange for immediate improvements. I’ve been watching this business field for more than thirty years. In the course of time, many fee-charging healers, well and active at first, died young or quit the job because of illness or became disabled. Healers themselves lost their physical functions in exchange for money.

  • consequence 結果

The righteous power of healing can cause miracles under the shadow of God as long as you don’t receive any money and have no intention of enlarging your organization or gaining fame. Genuine healers would have a decent job and avoid his/her name being known thoroughly. They would heal people who need help for free without being noticed. They don’t want any reward, so they don’t need to let the people know about it though it happens once in a while that the picture or profile of a genuine healer is revealed after death. The problem is few people can have access to such genuine healers. So this kind of situation may be said to be only private affairs, meaning almost nothing to the whole human beings.

In short, healing can never be a business. If a healer demands payment for a healing session, he/she is a 100% evil one, no matter how much they look like a good person. Such healers are sure to lead many people to Hell in the end. Good clients for them are pitiful who assume they can’t live without healing. They rake up money desperately, take healing sessions and die full of anxiety at the last moment of their life. God will never forgive such evil healers as lead a luxurious life at the cost of poor people. Human beings can never feel great security unless they find out God in their heart.

Gurus Pretending to be Able to do Saniwa Need Judging

森羅万象第6巻 表紙

A saniwa-sha(審神者)meant, originally in ancient shinto rituals, a person who receives divine messages, interprets their meanings and conveys them to people. But in the modern new religions related to shinto, a saniwa-sha refers to a person who judges the level of a spiritual being behind a person or the level of the person’s spirituality. In making a judgement, a saniwa-sha makes a person possessed by a spirit by the magic called Chinkon-kishin-hou(鎮魂帰心法). But it’s nothing more than an act of attaching spiritual dirt in fact.

I wrote about this before in this blog as following;

Chinkon-kishin-hou is not a secret ritual performed at the Chin-kon festival(鎮魂祭) held in the Imperial Court, but a new method systematized by a new religion about a hundred years ago. In Chinkon-kishin-hou, a saniwa-sha makes a person possessed by a spirit related to the person and asks the possessed some questions and makes a judgement from the way the possessed behaves about the true identity or intention of the spirt.

  • secret ritual 秘儀
  • the Imperial Court 宮廷
  • related 関係した

I despise this kind of method that uses conversations or questions and answers because in most cases, the spirit making the person speak is not actually the spirit related to him or her. The truth is it is the spiritual dirt of a saniwa-sha or the spiritual being behind the religious group the saniwa-sha belongs to that makes the person speak. The spiritual level of this method is as low as table turning.

  • despise 軽蔑する
  • conversation 会話
  • table turning こっくりさん

I feel that spiritual dirt of a fox spirit running from the other world has to do with the method. In fact, a man named Honda Chikamitsu(本田親徳, 1822-1889)developed this method after he came across a girl who was possessed with a fox spirit.

  • filthy 汚れている
  • have to do with A Aと関係している

In the modern world, it is gurus pretending to be able to perform saniwa that need judging. In the modern age, those who earn a living by performing religious rituals can never perform saniwa in the right way. A holy spirit says “Never earn a living by forming a group in the name of God.” Groups of people, however, are not guilty who protect local forests as a shrine and keep their tradition provided that they are forbidden from performing any weird rituals or methods. They have to fear and worship God sincerely.

Shrine must be the place where visitors learn something silently on their own without compulsion, not being inculcated into teachings, by listening to Oh-harae-no-kotoba(大祓詞,  the Words of the Great Purification) and watching shrine maidens performing a divine dance. The Japan Shinto is the only faith in the worlds that has no teachings nor compulsion but it has been continuing for thousands of years. The reason for this true miracle is that God has actual influences on it. God does exist in Ise Grand Shrine even today.

What is common to people who are strongly connected to God is that they have an occupation in society, going along the path to God. People in ancient times who performed rituals for worshipping God were all farmers. They would never have had an idea of making money by performing such rituals. Great saniwa-shas are people who work hard in this real world, keep his family safe and take good care of their ancestral spirits. In short, they live among ordinary people.

Today is the equinoctial day, when Japanese people offer gratitude to their ancestors. As Your Tamaza Perishes, Your Look Comes to be Evil

森羅万象第6巻 表紙

The other day, I talked with a president of a company having dealings with our company. He said “I saw a TV program saying people with low body temperature are likely to have cancer. So I’ve begun to take in expensive Chinese herbal medicine and dietary supplement.” He did have a more ruddy complexion than before. But what I felt in my mind was the impurity of his blood and his elevated blood pressure.

  • dealing 取引

  • ruddy 赤みのかかった

He showed me the Chinese herbal medicine, but I didn’t like it. Tuning my consciousness to the product, I found that it was an inferior product with an unreasonable price. The manufacturer must have thought that the more expensive products are, the more reliable they seem, and the more Japanese buy ones.

  • consciousness 意識
  • product 製品
  • inferior product 粗悪品

Though strict regulations of imported foods have begun, I’m still concerned about imported health supplements. I thought that if he continues to take in the supplements, he would have cerebral hemorrhage or some trouble with his liver. As he bought them at the suggestion of his friend, I couldn’t tell him what I was thinking then. I just recommended that instead of taking in such supplements, he get tepid water frequently so that it could be absorbed in the body.

By the way, the body temperature tends to be low of the people who make money by selling spiritual products or counseling spiritually, or who are under the influence of spiritual beings from the World of the Dead. So is that of the people who are affected by spirits due to the location of their house or some of whose related spirits are restless, wandering spirits. This is because another spiritual body is winding itself round their Tamaza(魂座), the left side of the chest where a soul exists, affecting it.

Originally, Tamaza has a spherical body and shines brightly. The bad state of Tamaza is reflected onto the spiritual body and then the physical body, lowering the body temperature. As long as Tamaza is in the normal state, you can dissolve the spiritual body round Tamaza by holding memorial services for your ancestors with the use of three incense sticks.

  • spherical body 球体
  • shine 輝く
  • reflect 反映する
  • dissolve 溶かす
  • ancestor 先祖
  • incense stick 線香

However, those who make money by doing spiritual business have a serious problem. They are attaching their clients’ spiritual dirt to their own Tamaza in exchange for money. Attracted to the spiritual dirt, spiritual beings from the World of the Dead will come close to them just as cockroaches are attracted to the smell of food.

  • attach 付ける

What these spiritual beings eat is not their spiritual dirt but their Tamaza. They eat it little by little trying not to kill them. As Tamaza is eaten, the look and atmosphere of those possessed change gradually. Evil spirits are very crafty, so the symptoms they cause are different from person to person. If you are protected by your ancestral spirits at all, you can have the feeling of wrongness. But most people don’t notice it until physical problems appear. At this stage, it’s too late, though.

If your Tamaza were eaten up, an evil spiritual being would come into the space and reside there. If the spiritual being takes on a form of a snake, the space is occupied by the snake spirit and your physical body changes accordingly. You would look like a snake in terms of expressions of eyes, behaviors, taste and so on. Your atmosphere would change into that of reptiles.

There are various spiritual forms other than that of a snake, such as a fox, a raccoon dog, a rat, a black cat and so on. It’s a kind of a spiritual zoo. The images of these animals human beings in this World of Reality have in common are projected onto the spiritual bodies of evil spirits and they do take on such forms.

  • various 様々な
  • in common 共通して

The spiritual bodies are different from those of real creatures. So if I take a close look at them, I see them changing subtly all the time and taking on a variety of unreal forms. A fox spirit, for example, has several tails according to its spiritual power. How the possessed come to look depends on the spiritual meaning according to their kind. Fee-charging male psychics or healers are usually possessed with a spirit with a form of a snake, while fee-charging female ones a fox.

You can Conjure up Spirits but can’t Make them Return

森羅万象第6巻 表紙

I hear that comic books and video games suggested by the western magic are popular these days. I sometimes feel that a few of the teenagers who have shut themselves in their room or committed suicide did conjure up evil spiritual beings. Also, a lot of people are doing spiritual business based on the western magic.

  • suicide 自殺
  • conjure up A Aを召喚する

You can find a lot of books on the western magic at any large bookstore that introduce how to conjure up spirits. Unless you reproduce the procedures correctly, you can never evoke them. Since the spiritual essence of this kind of magic is often passed orally, procedures written in books are ineffective in fact.

  • unless S+V SがVしない限り
  • reproduce 再現する
  • procedure 手順
  • evoke 呼び起こす
  • orally 口伝で

However, as the spiritual vibration of the World of Reality is getting higher in recent years, spiritual paths, a path where spirits move, begin to open around the corner. The locations of them used to be fixed.  Such places were limited due to the direction of terrestrial magnetism, which has been disturbed these days. As the result, I often find a spiritual path opening in an unexpected place regardless of the direction of terrestrial magnetism.

Normally, spiritual paths close in a few hours. They look as if they were the gateway of a whirlpool. Where they open up depends on the kind of spiritual worlds. If a spiritual path leading to the Hell opens up, hellish spirits come out of and into it. So when you try to conjure up a devil for fun like a sorcerer in a video game, with a spiritual path leading to the World of Hell opening near you, you’re in danger of actually evoking the devil.

It’s not so difficult as you think to conjure up spiritual beings now, but it’s very difficult to make them go back. Even professional psychics can’t often do this. Once you have evoked an evil spirt, your soul will be eaten up sooner or later. Even if you think you managed to make the spirit go away, spiritual dirt will remain with you. Psychics without true spiritual eyes couldn’t send back even part of the spiritual being. This is why practitioners of austerities come to a miserable end.

Suppose you call a gang group to your house. What if they do come over to you? They must get angry to be called. If they come, they must have some purpose. They will never go back with nothing in return. Trying to get in touch with spiritual beings itself is no good. This is true of what is called angels. Most of what you call angels are false in fact. You had better not interact with spiritual beings even if they call themselves a good spirit.

With the spiritual light of the sun getting intense, it will be more and more important that you keep your own original magnetism. I hope you realize this while you’re alive, reflect on yourself and keep away from whatever attaches spiritual magnetism other than yours to your spiritual body, such as religions, prayers or products. Ignore the “God” or ” Buddha” You See When You’re Tired

The other day, a man in his seventies and I patrolled my neighborhood at night as an activity of the neighborhood association. We waled about three kilometers. At first, I care about his walking pace but it turned out that I didn’t have to. Looking at his sneakers, I found that he walked a lot everyday. He had a good posture.

It is said that aging begins with legs. I often see some young men these days traipsing around with his pants being taken down to his waste. I thought I wanted to be like the old man, so I asked him questions about the food he ate, walking with him. Predictably, he said he ate small amount of vegetable, fish and rice, adding that they were a feast for him.

When he was in his growth period, he was truly in starved state because of the war. Living in the city, he was lacking in food. I thought that the lack of nutrition during a growth period doesn’t affect physical bodies in late years. Despite the lack of food more or less, people might have no problem as long as they are mentally healthy.

By the way, many of the people often possessed by spirits tend to have a weak body. For example, such people are apt to depend on spiritual healers mentally and physically, so that spiritual dirt of the healers, others in terms of genes, is attached to their body and as the result they become sickly later. As for an accurate fortune-teller, he/she tells a fortune by getting possessed with a spirit. So his/her clients are likely to fall sick in their late years.

When you have a feeble body due to the lack of nutrition or are extremely tired mentally, you’re easily controlled by spirits or affected by other spiritual beings. As you get starve, you will see hallucination. This is because when your body gets weak, spiritual magnetism of a spirit affects your body. Some people might say that their physical body has become strong after their spiritual body got weak, but this is a big mistake.

In a Buddhist sect, there is a ascetic training of making believers starve, depriving them of sleep and making them tired physically for the purpose of seeing Buddha. In this training, it is important to find out whether the Buddha a believer saw is true or false. The believer explains what he saw to an experienced person and asks for the judgement. The details are top secret. They are never told even among practitioners of austerities. In light of my spiritual experiences, I think that the judgement is based on an explanation of the lower half of the body of what he saw. You can’t make the judgement based on its face.

If you see “God” or “Buddha” when your body are mind are tired, you had better ignore it. When you’re in goof condition physically and mentally, you don’t see any strange beings, and you’ll just be grateful to everything in everyday life, when you’re touching the highest spiritual being without any visible form. This is the highest state of Kannagara, or being with God. Famous spiritual leaders or gurus often talk proudly about their experience of seeing God or religious ecstasy. Normal people, hearing this, are apt to think of such an experience as good. They try to experience it themselves in vain, assuming that their guru who can do such a thing is great, and believe the guru blindly.

  • be apt to~ 〜しがちである
  • think of A as B AをBと考える
  • in vain 虚しく
  • assume 思う
  • blindly 盲目的に

Is it so important a thing in life to have such an experience? If you had experienced it, wouldn’t you have to work any more? Would your children grow up safe and sound? Are those who experienced religious ecstasy great and respectable? The answer is NO.

  • safe and sound 無事に
  • respectable 立派な

People who make much of the experience of religious ecstasy can be put into roughly two groups:

  1. Those who make a living by talking about the experience. That is, they are just doing business. Such an experience is far from the truth.
  2. Those who choose to live a short life and die young. Some don’t get any child and commit suicide losing sight of the meaning of life.
  • make much of A Aを重要視する
  • make a living 生計を立てる
  • suicide 自殺
  • lose sight of A Aを見失う
  • meaning 意味

Such an experience devoid of creativity is nothing more than a devilish one. What if many people in the world were such people?  Suppose such people who don’t work increase in number. Who would support social lives? Our society would decline and fall into ruin.

  • devoid 欠いた
  • nothing more than A   Aに過ぎない
  • increase 増える
  • decline 衰退する
  • fall into ruin 破滅する

According to Jugyuzu(十牛図), a set of ten drawings of cows which depict the path leading to the enlightenment of Zen meditation, the level of catching a glimpse of enlightenment is only the third level from the bottom. Those who have reached the highest level are described as leaving ascetic practices and going to town to play with people. From my experience,  I think this is the right description of enlightenment.

  • cow 牛
  • depict 描く
  • catch a glimpse of A Aを垣間見る
  • enlightenment 悟り
  • ascetic practices 修行

Looking back on my experience of seeing God or religious ecstasy, I can only say that it was beyond expression. However, it is nothing but a passing experience. If I kept on having such an experience, I couldn’t live a social life. You must not cling to having such an experience again.

  • look back on A Aを振り返る
  • beyond expression 言葉では説明できない
  • passing 通り過ぎる
  • nothing but A Aに過ぎない
  • cling to A Aに執着する

Ramakrishna, a modern Indian sage, would often have such experiences in everyday life. Walking down a road, he would suddenly fall into ecstasy and smile for hours standing, sometimes driveling. He might have been thought of crazy. Children would have laughed at him, pointing to him. It is true that he saw God, but he had difficulty living a normal social life.

  • sage 聖人
  • would~ 〜したものだった
  • drivel よだれを垂らす
  • might have pp ひょっとしたら〜したかもしれない
  • have difficulty ~ing 〜するのに苦労する

As you live hard in this real world, the time will come when you suddenly feel that you’re being kept alive and feel like crying feeling gratitude for the fact. It is then that you have already experienced the true enlightenment.

  • keep A alive Aを生かしておく
  • feel like ~ing 〜したい気がする
  • gratitude 感謝の気持ち

Human beings are one with the Fundamental Being in nature. So, it can be said that being in such a strange ecstasy for a short period of time is a phenomenon you experience when you’re away from the Fundamental Being.

  • fundamental 根源的な
  • in nature 本来は
  • phenomenon 現象

If you are actually one with the Fundamental Being or, in other words, in the state of being with God (kannagara), you cannot see such an experience as a special one because you’re in the middle of experiencing things, good or bad, together with God. In such a state, you could never make money by talking about it. Do not be glad at strange phenomena devoid of spirituality. Leading normal everyday lives itself proves that you’re in the state of Kannagara, or being with God.

  • be in the middle of ~ing 〜している最中で
  • glad 喜んだ
  • lead a ~life 〜な生活を送る
  • prove 証明する
