Levels of Human Minds

森羅万象第6巻 表紙

About thirty years ago, a theory prevailed temporarily called “the phenomenon of the 100th monkey.” Asked for the data, the English author who advocated it admitted that he made it up. He had nine degrees in biology to master a wide range of knowledge about life and could speak more than five languages. He seems to have taken interest in the spiritual world as a result of the pursuit of life science.

I think his viewpoint was very good. He must’ve hit upon the idea because he was familiar with zen and had noticed common points among religions. But it was wrong that he based his theory on monkeys, for the theory is true of human beings as the king of primates.

It is easy to prove and explain the phenomenon that when the population of a certain living things with the same pattern of behavior or thought reaches a certain number, the pattern is propagated to the others. If you think about a hobby, a preference, or music fashion in society, you’ll understand the phenomenon. But fashions will come to an end. How long a fashion lasts depends on which level of human consciousness it sympathizes with. If it sympathizes with a deeper level of consciousness, it will last very long as a truth.

Our mind is an energy body which originated and branched off from the fundamental being. As you come to remind yourself of gratitude to the Trinity of Ise-Hakusan Dou, namely Original God, Inner God and ancestral spirits, and live your life consciously doing your best with gratitude for being kept alive in your heart, the vibration frequency of your heart will get higher and higher by the grace of the absolute power of God. Your heart will be raised to a higher level by the great being just like a mother (=the fundamental being) leads her toddling baby by clapping her hands.

In this way, you could reach a higher level naturally in a short period of time. It would take decades for you to reach the level by practicing meditation or self-contemplation.  Or you couldn’t reach it in this spiritual vibration frequency of the World of Reality. As you are raised to a higher level, others will begin to feel divinity(=Inner God) in their heart. If you have such consciousness, you’ll understand that the theory of “the phenomenon of the 100th monkey” suggests a truth as a metaphor. Those who have grown up spiritually could understand it naturally without reason.

Without a purpose of desiring to improve yourself, difficulties you experience in this World of Reality are only pains and tortures. It is whether or not you can have this purpose that matters. It has been said since a long time ago that you can take a horse to water but you can’t make him drink or that nothing is given to those who don’t ask for it. You can’t want others to make you have such a purpose. If you were thinking so, you would need to go through much more difficulties.

More often than not, those who have gone through a lot of difficulties have a positive mind. The difficulties must have been beyond description. They had no choice but to become positive without complaining. When difficulties are slight, people will cry, which means they are still full of energy. Blessed are those who can be thankful for being kept alive. To be able to think in everyday life that you want to live thankful would mean that your soul has traveled a long, long time. Blessed is your soul that can think so.
