Things to be Careful of When Changing a Grave and a Secret Ritual of Worshipping Ancestral Spirits

森羅万象第6巻 表紙

Some people change their family’s gravestone to a new one in another graveyard for some reason and others in a new type of cemetery like a locker room, which has been increasing in number in cities. These are what can’t be avoided in the modern age. But what you have to be careful of is that, when you do that, it often happens that your ancestral spirits have failed to move.

  • cemetery 共同墓地
  • ancestral 先祖の
  • fail to~  〜しない

People in general will think that they have no choice but to ask a Buddhist priest for help about this kind of thing. But there is one thing you can do easily to have your ancestral spirits move to the other place. This is what only descendants can do.

  • in general 一般の
  • have no choice but to~  〜するしかない
  • Buddhist priest 僧侶
  • descendant 子孫

Take some soil, or pebbles, from the ground around the previous gravestone and put it in the urn in a new gravestone or scatter it around the new one. If the ground surface is made of concrete or stone, scatter the small amount of the soil on it so as not to stand out. When you take the soil from the previous graveyard, say to yourself or aloud “My ancestral spirits, please move to this soil.” The amount of the soil depends on the surroundings and type of a new gravestone.

  • soil 土
  • pebble 小石
  • urn 骨壷
  • scatter 撒く
  • stand out 目立つ

If  you have prepared a new grave already, scatter the soil on the ground around it. If you haven’t build one yet, mix it with the soil of the site for a new gravestone. A bucket of soil will be enough. Or if the new grave is at a place like a locker room, put the small amount of the soil in a container and put it in the grave. A container with a lid is good, too.

  • a bucket of A バケツ一杯のA

However, if you hold memorial services for your ancestors at home, no ancestral spirits are at the grave. If you don’t, on the other hand, some of your ancestral spirits will linger in this world being at a loss where to go and wander around the grave. And when you change the grave, they’re left behind where it was.

  • linger いつまでもいる
  • at a loss 途方に暮れて
  • wander うろつく
  • leave A behind Aを置いていく

When a grave is demolished, ancestral spirits are displaced, so that they try to depend on their descendants having negative effects on them. More and more families won’t be able to have their family’s grave. But as long as they hold memorial services for their ancestors at home, there won’t be any spiritual problem.

By the way, there was a long period of time when people in general were not allowed to visit Naiku(内宮) of Ise Grand Shrine(伊勢神宮). The Imperial House had been practiced holding memorial services for both Amaterasu-oho-mi-kami(天照太御神)and their ancestral spirits for more than two thousand years, accumulating the holy energy of Ise because they knew this method of worshipping both Amaterasu-oho-mi-kami, who is very close to the Original Being, or the parent of life, and their ancestral spirits causes a strong, practical effect on the World of Reality.

Thanks to the method, the Imperial House has existed for a couple of thousand years. Other families couldn’t imitate the same method or rituals. Though some powerful, unique emperors appeared in the long history of the Imperial House, they soon fell from power in one or a few generations. No one could break the absolute spiritual barrier of the Imperial House.

Ise-Hakusan Dou is the way of reviving the secret ritual of worshipping ancestral spirits, which has been hidden consciously by the present Ise Grand Shrine, and leading you to Amaterasu-oho-mi-kami, the origin of life. It can be said that the time has come for the future when the significance of worshipping both the Sun God and ancestral spirits should be made known to the whole world.

Happiness Of Living In This Country With Contrivances of God

According to Nihon-Shoki, the oldest chronicles of Japan, the first time Amaterasu-oho-mi-kami(天照太御神)reached Ise(伊勢), carried on the back of Yamato-hime-no-mikoto(倭姫命), or the Imperial princess, Amaterasu-oho-mi-kami said to her “This place where the wind is blowing from the ocean is where the wind from Tokoyo(常世), the floating island which used to be on the ocean long, long time ago,  still keeps on beating like waves do. I want to stay here because I can immerse myself in the beautiful memories with Kunitokotachi-oh-kami(国常立太神).” Amaterasu-oho-mi-kami and Kunitokotachi-oh-kami are also positive and negative energy of the world like a wife and a husband.

  • Imperial princess 皇女
  • floating island 浮島
  • immerse 浸らせる

A columnar joint stone pillar, which was formed by lava getting cold and hard at Mt.Hakusan(白山) in the stage of creation of the earth, was carried to the floating island(This was a huge island floating on kelp in the sea and it was made of accumulated bird dropping. Since it was a floating island there’s no trace any more. It is also called “Mu”) and became the stone for Yorishiro(依り代, a medium for spiritual bodies to stay at temporarily)for the worship of the sun, where the sun god(=Amaterasu-oho-mi-kami) was worshipped.

It seems that peaceful, paradisal years continued for a long time, when Kunitokotachi-oh-kami had direct effects on the World of Reality. But it remained so paradisiacal that human beings couldn’t change and evolve.

In later ages, the stone pillar was carried to the place where the present Izougu(伊雑宮), which is an associated shrine of Naiku(内宮) of  Ise Grand Shrine(伊勢神宮)and whose official name is Izawa-no-miya, is located and buried under the ground of the forest behind the main building, I feel. The holy energy of Kunitokotachi-oh-kami has existed at Geku(外宮) of Ise Grand Shrine.

And about 2000 years ago, in recent years, Amaterasu-oho-mi-kami, because of the karma of the time immemorial, made the princess visit Mt. Water is the most important.

I have read a photo book in a bookstore before in which there were pictures showed a strange relationship between words and crystals of water.

  • photo book 写真集
  • relationship 関係
  • crystal 結晶

First, for example, the words of Amaterasuohomikami(天照太御神)are written down on a piece of paper and it is attachd to a container with water in it. Then the next day the water is frozen and a picture is taken of the molecule of the water by an electron microscope. The crystal, with a pattern of a mirror in its center, was really beautiful.

  • attach くっつける
  • container 容器
  • molecule 分子
  • electron microscope 電子顕微鏡
  • pattern 模様

The crystal of water, on the other hand, of the container attached with a paper with the word “asshole” on it was very ugly. Though I think these pictures were picked up intentionally, it is possible spiritually speaking.

  • on the other hand 一方
  • asshole 馬鹿
  • ugly 見難い
  • pick up A Aを選ぶ
  • intentionally 意図的に
  • possible あり得る

Water is the most important and precious of all. It might be a manifestation of God. More than 70 percent of a human body is composed of water. So it is possible that if you speak bad languages and think about bad things, the water in the cells which make up your body crystallize into ugly crystals, which make your blood mushy, like the picture of crystals of water mentioned above.

  • manifestation 現れ
  • be composed of A Aから構成されている
  • crystalize 結晶化する
  • mushy ドロドロな

Water consists of hydrogen and oxygen. In Japanese, Suiso(水素)and Sanso(酸素). The first sounds of these words are Su(ス) and Sa(サ), that is Susa(スサ). The function of water is exactly the same as that of Susanoo(スサノオ). Purge and purification are the functions of Susanoo, just like water.

  • consist of A Aから成り立っている
  • hydrogen 水素
  • oxygen 酸素
  • function 機能
  • purge 浄化
  • purification 祓い

You can’t laugh at this word game of the Japanese language, for in the ancient world, secret Japanese languages did influence Nature and Heaven and Earth. I feel the Japanese language is based on the sounds sent from the World of Gods. It is interesting that there are abnormally many common words of the same sound between the Hebrew language and the Japanese.

  • laugh 笑う
  • the ancient word 太古
  • influence 影響する
  • Nature 自然
  • the World of Gods 神界
  • abnormally 異常に
  • the Hebrew language ヘブライ語

Most of the secret languages are hidden in the name of deites of Japanese Shinto(日本神道)according to the function and action of each deity. When you say aloud a true name of a deity, the holy spirit does come close to you. So you must not conjure up a holy spirit just for fun. Because if you don’t know Kotodama(言霊), spiritual words, to return the spirit, you’ll be punished.

  • deity 神
  • according to A Aに応じて
  • action 作用
  • aloud 声に出して
  • holy spirit 神霊
  • must not~ 〜してはいけない
  • conjure up A Aを呼び出す
  • be punished 罰が当たる

There is one deity whose hidden name and publicized one accords―Amaterasuohomikami. The Kotodama(言霊)to return this deity ,which is conjured up by the name “Amaterasuohomikmai“, is “I Ka Shi Te I Ta Da I Te  A Ri Ga To U Go Za I Ma Su“(生かして頂いて ありがとう御座位ます). By saying these words, you can conjure up Amaterasuohomikmai and have it enter your body. If you say these words, you’ll sympathize with it according to the degree of manifestation of your Inner God.

  • publicized 公表された
  • accord 一致する
  • sympathize 感応する
  • degree 程度
  • Inner God 内在神

Well, the apparent proof that Susanoo is a deity who purifies sins and impurity by using water exists at the last part of The Great Purificaton Words(大祓詞), where the functions of Seoritsuhime-kami(瀬織津姫神), a goddess of water, and the process of purification in which she purifies sins and impurity by submerging them into seawater are described.

  • apparent 明白な
  • proof 証拠
  • exsits 存在する
  • sin 罪
  • impurity 穢れ
  • submerge 潜らせる
  • describe 描く

The reason why we put a small container with some water in it in front of a household shinto altar as an offering is to substitute the surface of the water with a mirror and to reproduce the purification by Susanoo. It is very important to exchange the water every day. A secret of my being strong is also due to desparate, serious daily bathing.

Amaterasuohomikami, thank you so much for keeping us alive.

A human brain and the universe are in similarity relation.

A while ago, I saw a picture of Ms.Lisa Randall, a world-famous theoretical physicist, on the Internet for the first time. I didn’t see the special program of Japan Broadcasting Company featuring her, so it was the first time I saw her face, which looks very intelligent.

  • a while ago 少し前

Seeing her in my spiritual vision a little, her soul, interesting enough, seems to have been on a different planet in her previous life. Though her academic background is great, she seems to have already known a lot about the universe when she was a student. I’ll write about a waking dream about the universe based on a few minutes of my psychic reading.

  • previous 前の
  • academic background 学歴
  • waking dream 夢想
  • based on A Aに基づいて

In the first place, the universe seems to consist of two parts, the front universe and the back universe. These two huge universes join together at an extreme point. If there is a planet in the front universe, there is also a planet in a similar place in the back universe. There seems to be regularity such as Fractal or symmetric figures between these two universes.

  • in the first place まず第一に
  • consist of A Aから成り立っている
  • the front 表の
  • the back 裏の
  • extreme point 極点
  • regularity 規則性
  • Fractal figure   相似形
  • symmetric figure 対象形

As I saw this state of the universe spiritually, I thought of a similar thing―a human brain. The front universe is to the back universe what the left brain is to the right brain. A human brain might be the universe in miniature. A nerve cell in the brain corresponds to a planet in the universe.

  • think of A Aを思いつく
  • A is to B what C is to D AのBに対する関係はCのDに対する関係と等しい
  • A in miniature Aの縮図
  • nerve cell 脳細胞
  • correspond to A Aに相当する

Also, in the vision of the universe of esoteric Buddhism, the front universe and the back universe are represented as Taizo-kai(胎蔵界)and Kongo-kai(金剛界)in Mandala of the Two Realms(両界曼荼羅).

  • esoteric Buddhism 密教
  • represent 表わす

There is relativity between the change in number of cranial brain cells during the period from the birth of a human being to the death because of old age and the movement of outer space during the period from its birth to its end. So studies on a human brain may explain the movement of the universe. If there is already any theory similar to this, I’d like to know.

  • cranial brain cell 脳神経細胞
  • movement 動き
  • outer space 宇宙空間

When I was doing this psychic reading, a holy spirit told me an interesting thing. It suggested that when a fixed star shining in the night sky, which is a kind of sun, ends, part of the sun, in return, reincarnates into a human being in this World of Reality. We human beings do have charge of Amaterasuohomikami(天照太御神), or the Sun God, as Inner God in our heart.

  • holy spirit 神霊
  • suggest 示唆する
  • fixed star 恒星
  • reincarnate 生まれ変わる
  • in return お返しに
  • have charge of A Aを預かっている

As is very rarely the case, it seems that when a man dies who was able to embody Amaterasuohomikami, or Inner God while he was alive, a fixed star does explode to perish, too. When a great man dies, newspapers say “Giant Star Falls”, which seems to be true.

  • embody 体現する
  • explode 爆発する
  • perish 死滅する
  • very rarely 極稀に
  • Giant Star Falls 巨星落つ

I asked the holy spirit if there was a man I know, in Japan of recent years, who died at the same time as a fixed star perished. It told me that there was such a man in the industrial world and, unexpectedly, another in the religious world in Showa era, too. A fixed star did perish at the time. I’m going to write about it in this blog in due time.

The Risk of Chinkonkishin and Saniwa ー The Last Part

The spiritual wind was coming from the direction of the hanging scrolls before me. Seeing the direction closely, I found above the hanging scrolls a sprite 2o centimeters tall who was carrying a big white bag on his back. And he was breathing hard on me swelling his cheeks.

  • direction 方向

  • sprite 妖精

  • swell ふくらませる

Those present, watching us at the back of Mr.O, were wondering to see my bangs moving slightly. They didn’t see the sprite. This was the first and last time I saw such a sprite as was materialized so clearly.

  • those present その場にいる人々
  • wonder 驚く
  • bangs 前髪
  • slightly かすかに
  • materialize 物質化する

Finishing the Saniwa, Mr.O told me that Amaterasuohomikami(天照太御神)existed in the heart of my soul and Kukai(空海)was supporting me in this World of Reality. To be sure, I had thought myself to be strongly related to Buddha as well as gods. But it was a surprise for him to point out Kukai, whom I had strongly felt. I remembered then that my father had much to do with Mt.Koya(高野山), where Kukai practiced Buddhist asceticisms.

Also Mr.O told me that he was worried about me because a lot of spiritual beings were possessing me. I knew about it, but it depends on a person who sees it whether it is judged to be good or bad. In his long experiences of Saniwa, it was the first time he saw Amaterasuohomikami as a guardian god, he said. Receiving the result of Saniwa, I re-acknowledged that spiritual Saniwa is nothing more than a way of seeing the world of the person who does it.

  • judge A to be~ Aを〜であると判断する
  • guardian god 守護神
  • re-acknowledge 再認識する
  • nothing more than A Aに過ぎない
  • a way of seeing the world 世界観

Then Mr.O asked me back if I could see his own guardian god. When I replied to him that I could feel it to be Ibukidonushi-kami(息吹戸主神), he was very surprised. He kept it a secret without telling any his disciplines about it, he said. What I had seen a while ago was part of a spirit of Ibukidonushi-kami. Remembering that time now, I feel it heartwarming that the sprite’s body shape and face were exactly the same as those of  a Japanese famous comedian Mr.Kunihiro Matsumura.

  • reply 答える

Seeing Mr.O spiritually, I, frankly speaking, was anxious about what would happen to him when the age of “spiritual light of the sun” would come, for though he got part of the spirit of Ibukidonushi-kami as his Inner God, he was possessed by the Kenzoku of a sea snake.

The purpose of Outer God is to kill Inner God.

Each one of us has the Original God in our heart. The religious groups up till now which call for money from their believers and the deeds of spiritual healing by a healer who alleges that without receiving the power of others, life couldn’t get better have forged ahead with a teaching of there being God outside of people.

As long as we assume that God is outside of our heart, we cannot help being dependent and obedient. It is natural that people think that they have no choice but to search for God outside, because they are possessed with the idea that God doesn’t exist inside of them.

  • dependent 依存的な

In spite of the fact that all human beings have a kind of pilot light of the Original God in their heart by nature, such being the case, the light will become lower and lower because they are always paying attention to the outside of their mind. It is then than the vicious circle of all their surroundings begins.

  • pilot light 種火
  • by nature 生まれつき
  • such being the case そのようなわけなので

The problem is people are not able to be aware because of their dependence on the outside that their soul is spellbound by a spiritual being outside of them and both their life and money are exploited . And as a result, their Inner God has become weaker and weaker.

The purpose of Outer God is to destroy Inner God inside of the human beings.

According to a Japanese myth, Izanami(イザナミ), a mother god, passed away to the other world because of cancer. Izanagi(イザナギ), a father god, unable to forget his wife, set out for the other world seeking his wife Izanami.

Izanagi had a hairbreadth escape by barricading a slope of Yominokuni(黄泉の国)located in the border between the other word and this world with a huge rock door. This rock door is a prototype of “Ama-no-iwato,(天の岩戸)the rock door of the heavenly cave, which is also a rock door separating a man from his Inner God.

Izanami, standing in the other world beyond the rock door, said to him “Oh dear my husband, if you do such a thing, I’m gonna kill one thousand people a day in your world.” In response to this, Izanagi said “Oh dear my wife, if you do such a thing, I’ll make the people have one thousand and five hundred babies a day.”

Izanami trying to kill people is the symbolic god of Outer God, while Izanagi giving birth to even gods and trying to raise people is that of Inner God. Amaterasuohomikami(天照太御神)was born from his father, Izanagi.

Amaterasuohomikami is hidden at the bottom of the Lotus Sutra.

I think Kenji Miyazawa’s poem “Not losing to the rain”(雨ニモ負ケズ) is a great one. He is a Bodhisattva(菩薩) in terms of Buddhism. A soul of a high dimension seems to have come down to this world to do merciful deeds because of love toward the people.

At first I thought he had been a famous man in his previous life, but that’s not true. But I found about 5% of the spirituality of Nichiren(日蓮)existing in his soul in this world. Generally speaking, if more than 30% of the spirituality of intense character of an individual who lived in the past exists in a person, it can be said that the person is transmigrated from the individual. If so,  much of the same kind of karma as that of a past life will occur in the World of Reality.

Since Kenji Miyazawa has some kind of connection to Nichiren, he must have felt a deep response to the Lotus Sutra(法華経). The view of the world of the Lotus Sutra underlies the basis of fairy tales he wrote. Though his life was calm and modest, in contrast to the life of Nichiren, I feel that his passion for the Lotus Sutra was very strong like a flame.

I can feel the spirituality of mercy of Kannon(観音)on the common people, everywhere in the Lotus Sutra, which was compiled more than 500 years after the death of Shakuson(釈尊). There seems to have been a group who healed and saved the people of the lowest class in the caste system, who were ignored even when the teachings of Shakuson were being promulgated, and inherited the doctrine. I feel that the Lotus Sutra is what the group elaborated for many years and completed.

A spiritual being who had effects on the process of the compilation of this Lotus Sutra was Sun God. It can be said that it was Amaterasuohomikami(天照太御神). Judging from the spirituality underlying the Lotus Sutra, you can also say Amaterasuohomikami equals Kannon.

I feel Nichiren knew Amaterasuohomikami exists at the bottom of the Lotus Sutra. And I feel that among the mandalas Nichiren wrote was the one with the words Amaterasuohomikami written largely in the center. After his death, it seems to have been hidden intentionally by his disciplines who managed the religious order. The origin of Nichiren’s soul is very interesting. I’d like to reveal it at the right time.

The company I work for is an old, typical vertically-structured society. It’s a kind of monstrous company, where an employee who tries to win promotion at the expense of his colleagues and is able to appeal himself well can only get promoted. The executives of my company are all lacking in moral. You said that the present vertical “moon” society will be replaced with a horizontal “sun” society, but I cannot help but wonder how that kind of thing will happen. Is the day coming when the present social system will change?

When the company gets into trouble in profit, it will pay dearly. In the future ahead, the world economy will take a weaving course. As the economy of Japan also weaves out, such a halfway company will be hard to survive. An ideal office worker who can survive in the future is one who works hard as if he were a sole proprietor in the organization and is able to cooperate with the other colleagues. Don’t be troubled about promotion in a small world like a company.

I want to know who my inner god is, but I also think I must not ask it until I find it. I’ve been puzzled.

Just think that the inner god of the people who were born in Japan is Amaterasuohomikami(天照太御神), regardless of their bloodline. Part of deity of the nearest shrine to the house where a mother lives during pregnancy tends to come into her unborn baby as Ubusunakami(産土神), tutelary god of one’s birthplace. This Ubusunakami turns into the inner god as the baby grows up. Most of the Ubusunakmai of each region in Japan usually lead to Amaterasuohomikami. Your inner god is also your conscience. The conscience of human beings is common consciousness at a deep place.

About the words ” I Ka Shi Te I Ta Da I Te  A Ri Ga To U Go Za I Ma Su“, is there any difference in meaning between “I Ka Shi Te I Ta Da I Te” and ” I Ka Shi Te I Ta Da Ki” ?

  • difference 違い

Yes. There is a big difference as you think. ” I Ka Shi Te I Ta Da Ki” is the past tense, meaning “we were kept alive.” Since we are now being kept alive, we should use the present tense ” I Ka Shi Te I Ta Da I Te” , including consciousness of both the present and the future into Kotodama(言霊), the word spirit.

The word spirit has another meaning of the number spirit(数霊).

“I Ka Shi Te I Ta Da I Te” =9 words

“A Ri Ga To U Go Za I Ma Su” =10 words

These words include the meaning of the holy spirit like the following;

The number spirit of 9 words: Kunitokotachiohokami(国常立太神)

The number spirit of 10 words: Amaterasuohomikami(天照太御神)

The number stands for the level of gods.

” I Ka Shi Te I Ta Da I Te(9 words) A Ri Ga To U Go Za I Ma Su(10 words)” equals the level of the Original God. The words occured to me over and over again when I visited Geku(外宮)of Ise Grand Shrine(伊勢神宮).

The notion of the word spirit is that words create a reality. The 19 words of reminding you of gratitude has great power of creation, which can regenerate and revive all and everything.
