Only After Your Heart is Filled with Conscience Without any Sense of Guilty Can Your Heart Be Like a Mirror

81pvowlMOmL

What I’ve re-acknowledged after visiting shinto shrines in Ise and Hakusan regions in a short time for the purpose of offering gratitude for being kept alive to the deities is that whatever I devote or give is returned to me like reflection. I live my life all the more refreshed for visiting the shrines. Shinto shrines where deities are enshrined in the right way are really like mirrors.

All human beings have God inside themselves. Only after your heart is filled with conscience without any sense of guilty can your heart be like a mirror, as it were, a walking mirror. As long as your heart is like a mirror, whatever others do to you trying to hurt you or the energy of grudge against you is returned to the sender. Your heart can’t be hurt at all. You would even feel sorry for them, thinking that the person must be stressful and unsatisfied with his life. Conversely, if you feel your heart was hurt, it proves that you have something to be improved.

  • conscience 良心
  • sense of guilty 罪悪感
  • as it were いわば

There are some people who feel paranoid, though nobody doesn’t do anything to them,  and hurt themselves, thinking “I’m disliked” or “Did I say something wrong?” This is because they have their Inner Gods deeply hidden in their hearts. They still haven’t found what they should be grateful of in their ordinary lives. They’re always looking at and thinking about themselves.

Such people should try to get rid of selfishness by looking at things from a larger point of view and be ductile. What I’m saying is easy to say but it’s difficult to do. This is why a spiritually practical method is needed, which is holding memorial services for ancestral spirits with gratitude every day and reminding yourself of gratitude to God all the time. It’s important for you to generate magnetism of gratitude. What you devote is like a present for you. Try not to generate negative magnetism.

Total Sum of Your Positive and Negative Magnetism is Transcribed to Your Present Circumstances

Whenever I find a nail on the street, I make it a rule to pick it up to sell it…no, to put it on the roadside so that small children won’t be hurt and cars won’t go flat. I don’t want to carry the nail with me, so I do it like that.

  •  make it a rule to~ 〜することにしている

The reason why I do this is that I know the damage to the car when I have a flat tire because of a nail on the street. Repair fees are expensive and if I find a flat tire when I’m about to leave my house, the plan of the day is ruined. The damage is huge. Also, if a driver doesn’t know his flat tire,  it can cause a serious accident. I don’t want me and others to be like that, so everytime I find a nail on the street while walking, I pick it up.

  • repair 修理
  • be about to~ 今にも〜するところだ

One day, when I was about to leave a parking area of a supermarket in a hurry, I found a nail where a tire of another car would come. I drove my car for a while, but anxious lest someone should get a flat tire, I came back to pick it up. If someone had seen my behavior, he must’ve thought I was a strange guy. But if I hadn’t picked it up, I would’ve been in a gloomy mood for a while.

In short, this is a matter of self-satisfaction. When I’m convinced of what I do, I feel good. I don’t need to ask myself whether what I did was a hypocrisy or not like a poet or philosopher. I just removed a dangerous thing in this World of Reality. That’s all. What matters in this world is one action, not a quibble nor a fantasy.

I think what is important in life is conversations between you and your conscience, that is to say, to avoid something against your conscience and to take actions that your conscience are convinced of. What you do in this World of Reality is recorded in your conscience in the form of magnetism. Both positive and negative magnetism you generate are all recorded.

*the accumulation of positive and negative magnetism genarated by your actions in the World of Reality

*the accumulation of positive and negative magnetism generated by your attitude to the invisible world such as graitude, consideration, grudge, sadness, anger and so on.

The positive and negative magnetism of the two dimensions are transcribed to your present circumstances and future. Those who are dissatisfied with their present circumstances in spite of their efforts must be lacking in positive magnetism of either of the worlds. Once positive magnetism begins to be accumulated,  your circumstances begin to improve like a big wheel begins to move. This does happen much easier than you imagine.

It’s You Who Decide Your Destination After Death

81pvowlMOmL

It is your conscience that decides where your soul should go after you die. Once you’ve lost your physical body to be a soul, you’re freed from your handicaps in the World of Reality and your consciousness and intelligence become very clear. Demented elders come to their senses and retarded children have normal consciousness, for example.

  • conscience 良心
  • decide 決める
  • consciousness 意識
  • demented 痴呆の
  • come to one’s senses

And next, you are to see the footage of your whole life for a short time. You’ll see it not only from your point of view but also from diagonally above backward or behind your back. You’ll also understand what the other characters in your life were thinking at heart. I’m sure you’ll feel the agony of being ashamed, having regrets and feeling guilty of what you did. Your senses become ten times as keen after you die.

  • footage 映像
  • the upper right 上方
  • diagonally 斜めに
  • regret  後悔
  • keen 鋭い

After this, you are to balance your accounts of good deeds and bad ones and decide the destination of your soul. The period of time when you look back on your life and decide your destination is about 49 days. The period is extended to years, decades or hundreds of years for those who killed someone to meet their desires or tormented others. During this period of time, they are not allowed to look away from the footage. They watch their bad deeds in detail wherever they look.

  • look back on A Aを回顧する

After they humbly reconsider their conducts and repent of their sins from the bottoms of their hearts, they head for Hell on their own. This is not what someone compels them to do. It’s the only compulsion that sinful souls are forced to go to a place where they see the footage of their whole lives for a long time.

  • head for A Aに向かう
  • on one’s own 自分で
  • compulsion 強制

If you had no choice but to kill others at a battlefield or in the course of your duty, your conscience knows it well. In this case you won’t have any guilty feeling after death. All human beings share conscience at a deep level because it’s part of the Primordial Being. You’re living your life with Inner God inside yourself.

  • have no choice but to~ 〜せざるを得ない

You might think, say, that you’re lucky your sins didn’t come out, that you entrapped a colleague of yours but the president didn’t know it, that the statute of limitations of your crime has expired, that nobody didn’t know your good deeds or that what you thought was good incurred the other’s enmity. All these things may remain unsettled in this world, but it’s OK, for you’re sure to recognize what you did clearly after you die and go to where you should go.

  • statute of limitations 時効

As human consciousness becomes clear in this World of Reality, more and more people choose to do something for others, just as they choose their own destinations after death. However, as long as you’re covered with magnetism of dependence on anything other than you, your consciousness can’t be clear. The best way to have a crystal-clear consciousness is to offer three incense sticks to your ancestral spirits and remind yourself of gratitude for being kept alive.

  • as long as S+V SがVする限り

Enlightenment is Living a Life According to Conscience

%ef%bc%97%e5%b7%bb

December 8 is the day when Joudoue(成道会)ceremonies celebrating Buddha’s enlightenment are held around the world. Hearing that Buddha reached enlightenment on that day, you would imagine that he had his consciousness change or saw an invisible world suddenly on the day.

  • celebrate 祝う
  • enlightenment 悟り
  • consciousness 意識
  • suddenly 突然

But this is not true. According to my vision of it, he had an indomitable resolve on that day. He thought then “I’ll believe in myself in this world. I’ll follow the dictates of my conscience. I won’t depend on others.” He decided that he’d live his life obeying the dictates of his conscience wholeheartedly like a rhinoceros.

What is the conscience he said about, then? It is consideration for others that everyone has by nature, which is like thinking “If I do this, it will benefit him,” or “If I do this, it will harm others.” Even the most brutal criminals have conscience common to general people. They just don’t follow their conscience. Consideration for others is what the Fundamental Being has shared with humans.

Shakuson(釈尊) decided that he would tell people the ways to eliminate people’s distress. He thought that to do this would benefit people in a true sense and that, in order to do this, he’d have to leave everything behind and devote himself to others.

He said that the main cause of people’s distress is attachment. For example, attachment to a loved one causes distress when the loved one is gone. Attachment to property causes distress when you think you might lose it. Attachment to social status or personal appearance causes distress when they’re gone.

  • attachment 執着
  • property 財産
  • personal appearance 容姿

Well, then, what should you do in order not to have attachment to these things? He suggests that people should enjoy those things with gratitude while they have them but at the same time, have the attitude of giving them to others anytime.

Strangely, as you live your life, depending on not others but your conscience, you will begin to feel hidden aspects of things. You will begin to understand various things somehow. In a sense, you will begin to feel the spiritual world correctly and see the true essence of things. A broad viewpoint will begin to develop inside yourself. Since the Fundamental Being that created the universe has the same conscience, these phenomena may be natural.

  • hidden 隠れた
  • aspect 側面
  • various 様々な
  • correctly 正しく
  • viewpoint 視点
  • phenomena 現象

You, a human being, will have difficulty acting according to your conscience even if you have decided to do so. But even if you’re disheartened, you can make up your mind every time. Try to live according to your conscience, and you will find the path you’ve walked a straight one, even with small adjustments, as if it were a path rhinoceros has walked.

  • every time 毎回
  • path 道

The World of Reality is the Only Place You Can Develop God

e1fb1a3d0834431dd5b0cbb2312b7752

It is the most important purpose of your life to develop or “nurture” your conscience (= Inner God) . You have to develop your Inner God in your heart well and give it back to the Original God. When a lot of people develop their Inner God in their heart, the Original God can develop, too, and will produce much more parts of its own, when new dramas called life of our souls begin.

  • purpose 目的
  • nurture 養う
  • conscience 良心
  • the Original God 根源神

This severe, unstable world of reality is the only place where you can develop your Inner God. The other worlds can be said to be static ones. We human beings came into this world after pledging to the Original God to develop our Inner God this time. Every one of you, whether you’re a criminal or a fool, was born for the purpose of  developing God. But once we were born, we find it difficult to do this because this World of Reality is where we can destroy our Inner God as well as develop it. Human beings hold the destiny of Inner God in the palm of their hand. That is, we are like God. Once we are born into this World of Reality, however, it’s difficult for us to realize this.

  • as well as A Aだけでなく
  • destiny 運命
  • that is つまり

As a peculiarity of the World of Reality, human beings develop their own ego, or selfish mind, as they live in this world thinking like “I’m not an instrument of developing God. I don’t care.” Our lives may be a joinery for finding the answer to the question whether this is true or not. The change of ego, from a baby’s one to an adult’s and then to an old person’s, shows that people lack ego at first, come to develop it and then lose it at last. When you begin to feel your end after going through a lot of things in life, your hugely developed ego will disappear like a baby. Here’s the answer.

  • peculiarity 特殊性
  • instrument 道具
  • lack 欠く
  • go through A Aを経験する
  • disappear 消える

My favorite, modern Indian sage Ramana Maharshi was a man who reached so high-level a self-realization that it was almost impossible for human beings to reach it. His method for attaining the goal was to ask himself constantly ” Who am I? “, which was an  enquiry into the true identity of ego. Ego doesn’t exist actually. All is a manifestation of the Original Being. Others are also you. Therefore, human beings can understand each other. There is only difference in the ability of understanding among people.

However, even if you’re told that the world is one and try to convince yourself of the truth, it’s an empty theory unless you feel and experience it on your own. To experience this, it’s important for you to decrease the negative, spiritual energy you’re receiving from your lost ancestral spirits by holding appreciative memorial services for them, to receive positive energy from the Sun God, and to remind yourself of gratitude in your daily lives. As you practice these, you’ll come to feel a glimpse of the Original Being in everyday life. The following phrase will push you strongly toward the realization;

  • remind oneself of A Aを想起する

To Avoid Contact With Others Would Cause Your Soul to Rot

I listened to an interesting talk show on the radio this morning which was about fermentation. According to it, fermentation and putrefaction are different things. Putrefaction is mainly caused by a particular single microbe, while fermentation by a lot of microbes and as the result of their cooperation, ingredients good for human bodies are produced. Working by a single microbe results in bad ingredients and a lot of microbes good ingredients.

  • fermentation 発酵
  • putrefaction 腐敗
  • microbe 微生物
  • cooperation 協力
  • ingredient 成分
  • result in A Aという結果になる

One day, as one episode of the talk show, a man and his wife were trying to make home-brewed sake, but the fermentation wouldn’t begin. They had had a quarrel before making it. They wondered why. Then, it occurred to the wife that the atmosphere of their quarrel might have affected the fermentation. So they indulged in affectionate familiarities in front of the wooden barrel, when the fermentation began.

  • it occurs to A that … …

I felt this showed a fundamental law of this world God laid at the inception of the World of Reality. More often than not, cooperative actions are more important than independent ones in company organizations. In the same way, to seclude yourself up in a house could make yourself physically and mentally sick.

  • more often than not しばしば
  • organization 組織
  • in the same way 同様に

If you were to live alone in this world, your life might be easy. Such an easy life, however, couldn’t cause the fermentation of your soul. God has made this world in such a way that souls of the selfish persons trying to avoid contact with other people rot. It is not until you receive good and bad stimulations from others that you can make your soul ferments and your conscience develops.

  • in such a way that S+V  SがVするように
  • It is not until S’+V’ that S+V S’がV’して初めてSはVする

○ Bullied at office and home

○ Bullied at school

○ Troubled by the relationship with neighbors  etc.

Don’t worry. All you have to do is accept them positively thinking of them as precious stimulations that make your soul ferment for the better. If you regard them as bad and try to avoid them, the fermentation will stop and putrefaction will begin. The phrase to cause fermentation that raises your Inner God is:

  • bully いじめる
  • trouble 悩ます
  • relationship 関係
  • neighbor 隣人
  • All you have to do is ~ あなたは〜しさえすればよい
  • for the better 良い方向に
  • avoid 避ける

Allocation of Life You Decided

Suppose you are going to be born into the World of Reality tomorrow and you can make a plant for the next life. The total amount of energy of fortune in life is 100 and you can decide the allocation of the energy at will before you come into existence.

For example, Mr. A decided to assign the energy like the following:

・good luck for being given money…60 %

・good luck for health…10%

・good luck for a good family…10%

・good luck for enjoying life…10%

・good luch for living long…10%

  • at will 随意に

Whatever he does, Mr.A was lucky in money and had a large income. But, he was not healthy, divorced several times and died in his fifties not using his money for some good purpose nor for some fun.

Mr.B, on the other hand, chose a life like this:

・good luck for being given money…10%

・good luck for being health…30%

・good luck for having a good family…20%

・good luck for enjoying life…20%

・godd luck for living long…20%

Mr.B had three children, enjoyed playing sports, and had a lot of hobbies, but he was always lacking money. He wanted to do something he couldn’t afford to. He often quarreled with his wife over money. He lived to be in his seventies and died.

  • can afford to~  〜する余裕がある

Actually, there must be much more kinds of lucks in life. The point is you must not be subject to those decisions of your own making. Things above are all what will be gone with a short life. You must not commit sins clinging to them, or you must not be arrogant or look down on yourself comparing yourself with others.

  • be subject to A Aに従属する
  • decision 決定
  • sin 罪
  • arrogant 傲慢な
  • look down on A Aを軽蔑する

What’s important in life is how much you can have your Inner God left in trust with come out in life. When Inner God comes out, your face is covered with an aura of divinity.

  • Inner God 内在神
  • divinity 神聖さ

How can we have our Inner Gods come out? It’s important that you hold memorial services “for your ancestors” with gratitude everyday using a Yorishiro, a strip of fancy paper, or a memorial tablet, and three incense sticks, and pray to God with gratitude in front of the home shrine.  Just keep on doing these and do as many merciful, benevolent deeds as possible in your daily lives. Then , according to the law of “Like attracts like,” some high-dimensional spiritual existence will appear on your mind from within.

  • Like attracts like 類は友を呼ぶ

As long as you live, your consciousness faces God of your heart named conscience until the very end. There’s no end to it.

  • as long as S+V SがVする限り
  • consciousness 意識
  • conscience 良心

Surroundings into which you were born are the only fate by karma, but once you’re born, your future is like a blank sheet of paper and you can make any change to your plans. It brings you a bright future to live your life conscious of conscience.

  • surroundings 環境
  • fate 宿命
  • make a change to A Aに変更を加える
