Diary on a Trip to Ise and Mt.Hakusan – PART 11

Standing in front of the main building of Hakusan Chukyo Shrine(白山中居神社), I felt spiritual vibrations of ancient deities. They were those of Izanagi(イザナギ) and Izanami(イザナミ)or of the whole mountain. In large shrines that have fain in Mt.Hakusan, rituals for Izanagi and Izanami are performed. It was in the later years that Kukurihime-shin(ククリヒメ神)was added to the main deities Izanagi and Izanami. Originally, Hakusan Shrines were shrines where only Izanagi and Izanami were worshipped.Kukurihime-shin had been concealed for a long time as the secret deity who harmonized her parents, Izanagi and Izanami.

According to Japanese myths, Izanagi and Izanami gave birth to all deities belonging to Amatsu-kami (天津神)and Kunitsu-kami(国津神) and produced the land of Japan. However, just as Izanagi and Izanami are not especially worshipped in Ise Grand Shrine, most present shrines that worship deities belonging to Amatsu-kami don’t make much of them.

In the present shinto shrines, various rites and rituals are performed not with Izanagi and Izanami being the main deities but with Kukurihime-shin being such. In Hakusan shrines, in contrast, Izanagi and Izanami have been worshipped as their main deities since ancient times. It can be said that Mt. Hakusan is the mountain where Izanagi and Izanami still rest.

Then I went to a small shrine on the right side of the main building where Amaterasu-o-ho-mi-kami was worshipped, when I got the same vision of a sundisc as the one I get in Ise.  And at another small shrine whose main deity was Ninigi shin(ニニギ神), I felt the same kind of holy energy. Also, at a small shrine near the entrance of Hakusan Chukyo Shrine whose main deity was Sarutahiko-shin(猿田彦神), I sensed a holy energy.

  • sundisc 日輪
  • entrancce 入り口

Such a shrine is rare in that all small shrines in the precincts are active. Though there are a lot of shrines whose main deity is Ninigi-shin all over Japan, this was the first one where I could feel the holy energy. It is unfortunate that most of them have become so polluted with visitors’ energy of greed that I can’t feel any holy energy there.

Hakusan Chukyo Shrine is where all stars of deities who descended to earth in ancient times, which is called Tensonkorin(天孫降臨), including Izanagi and Izanami, still reiside and rest. It can be the main stage for the second Tensonkorin. It is interesting that Geku(外宮) of Ise Grand Shrine and Hakusan Chukyo Shrine were both founded during the reign of Emperor Yuryaku(雄略天皇). I feel that here lies the divine will of Kuni-tama(国魂), the guardian deity of a country who steers the state behind the scenes.

As the line between Mt.Hakusan and Ise on which holy energy falls “opens up,” this shrine will be more and more famous. It is when a lot of people visit this shrine and Ise that these places are spiritually connected and a new door of the World of Gods will open. This is what was designed by God a long, long time ago. When this happens, all conflicts will be resolved in harmony, such as conflicts between Amatsu-kami and Kunitsu-kami, nations, people, family members and so on.

It seems that intervention from the future into the present is needed for children of the future to be born. This has to do with the advent of UFOs, which suggests the intervention from the future. In Japanese myths, Kukurihime-shin disappears suddenly after mediating the quarrels of her parents, never to appear. After her disappearance, a lot of deities were born. That is, she came from the future beyond time and space to save her parents. This is the reason she had to disappear.

If you can afford to make a round trip between Ise and Mt.Hakusan, you may be the one that came from the future with the mission to harmonize human beings. I want you to do this with care as a representative for those who cannot afford to or all human beings.

  • can afford to~ 〜する余裕がある
  • round trip 往復
  • mission 使命

Even If you cannot afford to for some reasons, there’s no problem. All you have to do is cleanse your spiritual line and remind yourself of gratitude, which contribute to the world. It’s also important to visit the shrine of your birthplace and a shrine near your house. But remember, when you do these, you must do it by yourself or with your family, not in a group, because doing them in a group doesn’t meet the will of the gods.

  • cleanse 浄化

After this, I visited Nagataki Hakusan Shrine(長滝白山神社) and Shirayama Hime shrine(白山比咩神社) and completed this trip to Ise and Mt.Hakusan finally. Now I feel everyday that I’ve become much younger in body and in mind.

A Trip In Ancient Times That You Can Touch The Breath Of God

廃墟の中の鳥居

Until around Edo period, when there was almost no convenient means of transportation, to visit Ise(伊勢)was a great journey like a dream, once in a lifetime. If a visitor ran out of money on the way to Ise, he worked at the local place for money and kept on going. If a man who took a couple of years to visit Ise came back to his village, he and another man who had the same experience were bound to each other with a close friendship as Ise-tomo, or Ise-friend(伊勢友).

In ancient times before Ise Grand Shrine(伊勢神宮) was established, there was a folk custom of making a round trip among Mt.Hakusan(白山)in Ishikawa prefecture, the current place of Geku(外宮) of Ise Grand Shrine and Izougu(伊雑宮). This is the origin of worship of the sun aware of solar orbit. I feel people in ancient times used to repeat this round trip.

●Mt.Hakusan … the hidden Hakusan dynasty and the Original God worshipped there.

●Izougu and the place of Geku … one stone pillar out of three of the Hakusan dynasty was buried at Geku and another was taken to Mu, a floating island in the Pacific, and when Mu sank into the depths of the sea it was taken to where the current Isobecho(磯部町)exists and became the origin of Izougu.

  • dynasty 王朝

To visit these places, Mt. Hakusan, Ise and Isobe, causes the rebirth and rebinding of human souls. Once Ise Grand Shrine was established, only Ise was emphasized and Hakusan worship was hidden and disappeared from the center stage of history. But the oral tradition was handed down among people and a lot of Hakusan shrines were constructed all over Japan and visiting a Hakusan shrine and Ise was regarded as the same as visiting Mt.Hakusan and Ise. This is a historical secret of the reason why so many Hakusan shrines exist all over Japan.

The original, right way of worship service was to make round trips between Mt.Hakusan and Ise. I think that many of the people lived long who had a lot of chances to make round trips between Hukui(福井), where Mt. Hakusan lies, and Ise, such as Mr. Kiyoshi Hiraizumi(平泉澄), who was the chief priest of Heisenji-Hakusan shrine(平泉寺白山神社) and a scholar as well. This is not a coincidence. It is here in Japan that the miraculous points of the negative and the positive exist, the round trip between which enables human genes to improve. You can never experience the kind of trip abroad that you can touch the breath of God.

Solar Orbit and the Slope in Yomi-no-Kuni, or the Land of The Dead

廃墟の中の鳥居

A revelation I perceived told me that seen from the outer space, the most important line of the solar orbit on this planet in the current civilization lies in Japan and it connects between Ise(伊勢)and Hakusan(白山). Though some remains of  huge rocks, which were centers of the previous civilizations, are on the line of the solar orbit, most of them disappeared deep under water due to continental drift.

In fact, scientific investigations reveal that there are a lot of remains where people worshipped the sun in the Jomon period on the line connecting Ise and Hakusan. Considering the accurate latitude and longitude, the important point of the line in Ise region is Mt.Asama(朝熊山). When you go to Izougu(伊雑宮)by train or by car after visiting Geku(外宮)and Naiku(内宮) of Ise Grand Shrine, you’ll be passing the foot of Mt.Asama, which is located between Geku and Izougu.

When you visit Ise, you should visit Izougu too, where the energy body of Amaterasuohomikami(天照太御神) resides. If you take the route, you will have received positive energy of the center of the solar orbit naturally. And then if you pay a visit to a shrine in Mt. Hakusan(the negative pole of the earth) later, the helical structure of genes in your body will be braced up as the completion of the cycle of positive and negative energy.

From time immemorial, Ise has been said to be the sacred place where the sun rises. Reading through Kojiki(古事記)spiritually, I find that the sun was born from Ise and the western part from Ise where the sun sets was called “Yomi-no-kuni,” (黄泉の国), which is the present Kumano region.

  • time immemorial 太古の昔
  • sacred 聖なる

It is Susanoo(スサノオ) who is put in charge of Yomi-no-kuni by Kunitokotachiohkami(国常立太神). Susanoo use Kenzokus(眷属), or a familiar of God, of the World of Kijin(鬼神 , a fierce god) and the World of Tengu(天狗, a long-nosed goblin). The present Kumano region is protected by Tengu spirits, who has been decreasing in number due to spiritual light of the sun.

In the world of Kojiki, the entrance of Yomi-no-kuni is said to be in the Kumano region, but I have an intuition that it does exist around Lake Biwa(琵琶湖)of the present. I think the area has the name of Saka(坂, slope) . And on its extended line exist Mt.Hiei(比叡山) and Mt.Kurama(鞍馬山) in Kyoto.

In Japanese myths, the spiritual slope leading to Yomi-no-kuni is said to be where a lot of people go down who used the name of God for profit. It’s a strange, visionary slope. When people go down the slope, they don’t know they’re going down because the slope is gentle. They see a lot of delicious nuts on the way, which means that when people are doing evil, they are so absorbed in it that they cannot be aware of their conscience.

  • myth 神話
  • profit 利益
  • visionary 幻の
  • gentle 険しくない
  • on the way 途中で
  • do evil 悪事を働く
  • absorbed 夢中な
  • aware 気がついて
  • conscience 良心

If they find their name called from the entrance fortunately, turn back on the way and look up from the downside, the slope has changed into a scarp like a precipice. It’s not easy to go back the slope. And what looked like nuts in going down turn out to be snakes or centipedes. When they take a look at a piece of apple they threw away, it has turned into rotten dead flesh of a man.

Though Izanagi(イザナギ)ran back the slope of Yomi-no-kuni successfully, it would be very difficult for a human soul to do it. That is to say, once you have learn to do ill in this world, it’s hard to go back to normal. However, it is not impossible to go back depending on your determination. While you’re alive, it’s important that you do your best in everything you do while having fun and sometimes reflect on yourself.
