Do Not Hurt Your Inner God Because of Your Transient Feeling

81pvowlMOmL

While I’m talking with someone or see people in town, I see their Inner Gods. When I meet someone with an offensive attitude, for example, I talk to him as if I were talking with his Inner God. Even offensive people have their own parents and Inner Gods at the bottom of their hearts. By thinking like this, I can talk to such people calmly.

People who hurt another person’s feelings without caring are just showing their bad aspects. They still have their great Inner Gods inside. Since you have your Inner God inside yourself, you should think that you are never hurt by someone’s harsh words. If you get hurt by something others say, why don’t you think that only the surface of your mind was hurt?

  • feelings 感情
  • aspect 側面
  • harsh きつい
  • surface 表面

The surface of the mind is unstable and changes or vanishes in time. You must not hurt your heart, or Inner God, because of your transient emotion, much less kill yourself. You’d regret what you’ve done strongly.

✳︎ The surface of the mind, responding to grief, grudge, anger etc. , is affected by these emotions or produces them conversely.

✴︎ Inner God, or your true heart, tunes in, or responds, to joy, affection, mercy and so on.

  • in time やがて

Though Inner God doesn’t tune in to the frequency of bad feelings, if you’re spiritually immature, it hides itself deep inside your heart. Everyone has his Inner God inside as long as he lives. Taking a look at a face of a murderer or robber, I find it hard to see their Inner Gods because they have hidden themselves deep inside of their hearts. Such criminals are peculiar who go so far as to kill someone for money. On the other hand, when I see people with their Inner Gods appearing on their faces, I feel like praying to them with folded hands.

  • frequency 周波数
  • murderer 殺人者
  • criminal 犯罪者
  • peculiar 奇妙は
  • go so far as to~ 〜しさえする

Always conscious that you’re trusted with your Inner God, live your life in this World of Reality, where you cannot have your own way in everything, and you’ll come to live life making right choices with the state of Kannagara, being with God. Then your world would be the one where you see only joy, affection and mercy. This is a self-satisfied world in a good meaning.

  • trust A with B AにBを任せる
  • make a choice 選択する

Do Good Deeds Even If You Do them for Self-Satisfaction

” I did what I thought was good for a man, but I found that he thought of nothing of it. On the contrary, he took advantage of me and used me. Things go wrong no matter what I do. Am I being tested by God? I can’t believe anybody. I will chose doing nothing.” Have you ever thought  like this?

  • on the contrary それどころか
  • take advantage of A Aに付け込む

If you expect something in return for what you do for others, you’re likely to have this kind of feelings. This is not a good example, but it is often said that if you lend some money to someone, you should do so realizing that there is a possibility for the money not to be returned. Otherwise, you may get in trouble and suffer later.

  • be likely to~ 〜しそうである
  • get in trouble 厄介なことになる
  • suffer 苦しむ

What you do for others can be a nuisance for them. You may be doing the good just to satisfy yourself without considering the other’s position. Or you can be blamed for what you did because of misunderstanding. However, I think doing good to others is still a good thing whether it is for your self-satisfaction. The fact itself that you did something for others is important., for it’s important for you to etch good deeds in the space of this world regardless of judgements of others. But keep in mind that you had better not expect any good reaction from them.

  • regardless of A Aに関係なく

Let’s take for example the relationship between parents and children. Suppose a mother has bought an expensive clothes for her son without asking. At the sight of the clothes, he says ” I hate this kind of clothes. I’ll never wear it!” She tries to make him wear it, but they start quarreling. She was thinking that the clothes would look good on him. She just wanted to see him in it.

  • relationship 関係
  • suppose 考える
  • expensive 高価な
  • at the sight of A Aを見て
  • look good 似合う

In later years, his mother died. And when the son is pulling her belongings together, he happens to find that the clothes he wouldn’t wear has been treasured in her closet. He, who has his own children, remembers her love for himself with tears in his eyes.

  • in later years 後年
  • belonging 持ち物
  • pull A together Aを整理する

Similarly, it takes time to realize the meaning of love others showed you. So you don’t have to despair even if you cannot have any good response. What you did for others trying to help them will be stuck in the back of their mind in time, no matter how abusive they were at first. Important is you  tried to relate to them. To choose a life unrelated to others would make you separate from Inner God in your heart.

  • in time やがて
  • relate 関わる
  • Inner God 内在神

Did you have a quarrel? It’s good. Without the other, you can’t do it.

Were you deceived? It’s good. Observe the other’s behavior with care from the next time on.

If you catch a child you don’t know doing something wrong, scold the child and be hated.

A society where there are a lot of adults who never preach at or ignore children doing wrong is a cold society. People who try to relate to you may be affectionate for better or for worse. Everything will turn out to be good memories.

  • for better or for worse
  • turn out to be~ 〜であるとわかる
  • memory 思い出
